Dynalog provides Moxa’sserial media converters. These media converters allow devices with different serial interfaces to communicate effortlessly.

Serial-to-serial converters help convert between RS-232 and RS-422/485, and serial-to-fiber converters convert all three of these interfaces to optical fiber.

DDAM-8520 is an industrial-grade Serial converter with bidirectional

conversion between RS-232 to RS-485/422 and also a RS-485/422 repeater.

Thus this device can be used for bidirectional data conversion between serial signals like RS-232 to RS-485/422. It can also be used as a repeater for RS-485 and RS-422 transmission. It provides 1 RS-232 serial port and 2 RS-485/422 serial ports. The Serial port has a 1500W surge protection, 15kV electrostatic protection and 3kV photoelectric isolation protection, thus it effectively prevents devices from being damaged due to surge or high voltages in noisy environments.

The TCC-82 is a RS232 isolator, which provides full electrical isolation for bi-directional serial communication between two RS-232 devices in a

compact, industrial-grade package. Both sides of an RS-232 connection are isolated optically to provide perfect protection against lightning surges, accidental high voltage shorts, and ground loops. The built-in, wide range isolators are tested to ensure that they can withstand more than 4 kV rms input to output for 1 minute. This means that the TCC-82 not only meets the requirements of general serial data communications, but also the high

standards required by industrial automation and medical applications. The TCC-82 RS232 isolator protects the TxD and RxD data lines, and also
